IO to Hogwarts Students Only

Right.

The other day my brilliant girlfriend inspired an equally brilliant idea and I thought why the hell not give this a go. Be a right shame to pass something like this up.

I reckon there's a good bunch of you tired of all this colours team nonsense, yeah? Still trying to figure out a way to make the bloody weeks speed up so it's over? What we need is some old-fashioned competition, but not with points, detention, and all that other rubbish we could care less about. There needs to be something at stake. I'm proposing we set up a wager amongst the teams. With the exception of Teal -- all apologies you lot -- it's anyone's game and I've an inkling to make some orange juice.

As captain of the Purple Pooka Eaters, I'm expecting all my teammates to step up and take the challenge. What about the rest of you lot? Are any of you up to making these next few weeks interesting?

Oi, and if anyone's interested in a flutter on the Quidditch match tomorrow, let me know.

Editted: Listen up. Here's how the wagering will work - each team'll come up with parametres for the losing teams, to be agreed upon sometime within the next 24 hours.

Oi, mate, you know I'm for it. Whatever 'it' ends up being. What've you got in mind so far?

Also, as for Quidditch, I've an idea for a wager. Care to pick a side?

MICHAEL CORNER!!

That is not what I meant to imply. You know that betting is against the rules!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-02 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
What're you on about? How could we make it more interesting?

[identity profile] ms-pansy.livejournal.com 2005-12-02 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Purple, obviously.

I'm still deciding on the match, but perhaps I'll try again.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_missgranger/ 2005-12-03 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
You are encouraging betting?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/lovegood_luna_/ 2005-12-03 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
This only encourages participation, you know.

[identity profile] miss-ginevra.livejournal.com 2005-12-03 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
No way is Purple going to beat Orange. :p

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_anthony_g/ 2005-12-03 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
What're the terms?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
I've fuck all right now. I'm waiting to see if there's any more takers before we settle on parametres. You going with Purple to win then?

You're ruddy daft if you think I'm going to pick a team before I've bloody heard your idea. Out with it, mate.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__ron_weasley_/ 2005-12-03 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
I think he's encouraging participation. Betting just happens to be a side effect.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_missgranger/ 2005-12-03 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Betting is betting, Ron.

I do wonder what he is thinking of, however.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__ron_weasley_/ 2005-12-03 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but whoever said that betting was all bad?

Couldn't say. I don't reckon he's got much left to chose from, considering everything he and his lot have come up with. They've streaked through the Great Hall, they've sung inappropriate songs to our Headmistress, tried to give our Potions Professor a lap dance, and instructed us all how to bathe a cat while dressed in drag, just to name a few.

Not sure how they'll top those, myself.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_missgranger/ 2005-12-03 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose there is not anything wrong with a friendly wager once in a while.

I am not sure how they will top them, either. I am afraid to find out.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/__ron_weasley_/ 2005-12-03 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, nothing wrong with it at all.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Padma Patil!

It's not betting. It's fostering team unity.

What were you implying then?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
It's called wagering, MacDougal. You pick a team, set parametres, and prepare to lose, see.

You in? Can I get you down for Purple as well?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Are you out of your ruddy mind? Why would I bet against my own team?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Bloody good thing you're on Teal then, isn't it, Lovegood?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
We're ahead of Purple at the moment, or were you choosing to ignore that little detail?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Bloody fine answer there.

Don't reckon your Seeker has what it takes to win?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
You like your juice with pulp or strained?

[identity profile] ms-pansy.livejournal.com 2005-12-03 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
You like to point out the obvious, don't you.

That was sarcasm, Michael. Pity you can't tell anymore these days.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing's in stone until our saucy Headmistress announces the final point tally.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't there was anything wrong with it when you won on Hufflepuff last term.

So I'l put you down for Purple?
