Pansy? Davis?

What the sodding hell is going on back there?

Pansy spent the evening holed up with Davis, screaming her bloody head off, and I, I reckon I was ruddy tired of it.

I'm sorry, Mike, but this isn't something that'll be an easy fix. You can't just walk up to her and demand she behave rationally. Sometimes, she'll need to scream.

I can't get the- the feeling of the Dementors out of my head. You know, when we were in third year? Merlin forbid what it would be like- to be in their power constantly.

It doesn't excuse what she's done- to Tony, I mean- nor does it negate your own feelings. But- don't get too upset about this. You can't force her to stop pitying herself before she can safely tuck away whatever memories Azkaban unhinged.

...I'm mostly concerned about Tracey Davis. She IOed me privately the other day and, granted, her feelings for Pansy seem genuine- but how odd, of course, that she cannot extend compassion to the victim of the crimes for which she deemed Marcus Bulstrode worthy of death. And what was that, when she challenged you with not working to get Pansy out of an Azkaban sentence?

I know that, Padma. Fuck, I know that. And I'll take the screaming over this bloody indecisiveness she's been experiencing. I had enough that night, is all. More than fucking enough.

You've a point, but like hell I'm going to bloody help her along with the pitying. I'm not going to encourage her.

Davis fancies herself a better mate than the rest of us, that's what it was about. A better mate, sure, if your wizarding bloodline goes back at least six generations and you've enough ruddy money to support half of South America. Reckon an extremist view wouldn't bloody hurt either. I don't know though. I don't reckon Bulstrode and Davis were ever chummy at all beyond the Slytherin facade.
