I've'n't seen a word about it over the Firelogs which makes a co-owner a mite worried about the grand opening of his casino, seeing as how he was unable to attend and all.

So? What's the word? Overwhelming success? We're already millionaires? Did the place implode? No one showed and I should get a head start hawking all my valuables and making my own pants out of lemon grass?

How'd it bloody go?

You should have been here and then you'd know.

It went alright, after all the disasters were cleared up. How is Brennan?

I'd say it went well. It was loads of fun, once the entertainment was sussed out. I think many people went home happy and ready to come back.

All right, mate?

Trust me when I say I've never wished to be anywhere more than I ruddy wished to be there last night.

He's loud. Isaac's teaching him to scream in harmonies. What diasters?

The band was late, the food was slow, the drinks were watered down at first. Then one of the waiters dropped a full tray of food just missing a patron! Everything was chaos until it seemed to figure itself out. I don't know if we can handle this.

A man would like to speak to us regarding renting space, I think. I'll have to Firecall him at some point.

That's the kind of news a bloke likes to hear. Hope you'd enough fun for Tony and I as well.

Alright, I s'pose. 'Bout alright as I reckon I can be spending a perfectly fine Saturday night in the library. And you, mate? Alright? Family life still suiting you?

You need to let it find its rhythm, is all. Things'll calm down if you give it some time, you'll see.

Renting space? For what?

Have I told you lately what a brilliant job you're doing? You're aces, Pansy.

How can something that isn't living find its rhythm?

Actually, Marco got it wrong he tells me now. Someone is interested in being a dealer for one of the private rooms. I suppose we can look into it.

You're only saying that so that I won't stop even though I'm exhausted working both jobs and Kitty just gave me another small account to finish up this week. She barely speaks to me.

How are you? Are you liking your new job?

Ah, but it is. It's a living, breathing entity unto itself. Just watch. You'll see.

You've'n't enough hired on already?

She'll come around. Reckon she doesn't like sharing you, is all. She wouldn't be as hard on you if she didn't care. That's how ol' Filly was with me.

The job's a slight on the boring side at the mo since it's still training and I'm already brill with the games, but once I'm placed, it'll be interesting. We'l've to see what the tips bring. Had a scare the other day with Annesley though but I've worked my magic so to speak, and everything's back to rights now. Between work and my new courseload, I reckon I'll've no arse come the end of term.

If you say so.

I don't think we do, actually. I was pondering leaving Millicent in charge of hiring and sacking people. She seems well-suited to the task.

Because she cares, she's hard on me? My father must have nothing but feelings for love for me in that case.

No arse? Oh, I see. You'll be fine no matter what happens, Michael. You always are. It's one of he things I admire about you, after your friendly smile and your penchant for the extreme.
