IO to Hogwarts Students Only

Right.

The other day my brilliant girlfriend inspired an equally brilliant idea and I thought why the hell not give this a go. Be a right shame to pass something like this up.

I reckon there's a good bunch of you tired of all this colours team nonsense, yeah? Still trying to figure out a way to make the bloody weeks speed up so it's over? What we need is some old-fashioned competition, but not with points, detention, and all that other rubbish we could care less about. There needs to be something at stake. I'm proposing we set up a wager amongst the teams. With the exception of Teal -- all apologies you lot -- it's anyone's game and I've an inkling to make some orange juice.

As captain of the Purple Pooka Eaters, I'm expecting all my teammates to step up and take the challenge. What about the rest of you lot? Are any of you up to making these next few weeks interesting?

Oi, and if anyone's interested in a flutter on the Quidditch match tomorrow, let me know.

Editted: Listen up. Here's how the wagering will work - each team'll come up with parametres for the losing teams, to be agreed upon sometime within the next 24 hours.

Orange. We're going to win because we've put out the most effort.

I don't quite understand Teal, but I suppose they've got their own reasons, whatever they be.

I'd like to bet on Hufflepuff, if that's alright. I hear our team is rather good, so we'll win.

Most effort so far, Jones. That could all well and change though and it bloody will.

Next to Purple, Teal's my favourite team, actually. Seems they've got the right idea.

Hufflepuff it is. How many Galleons you want to put on them?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_meg_jones/ 2005-12-03 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
You're very confident. That's an admirable trait.

Teal doesn't see the fun in this at all. I wonder what the winning team gets in the end?

Two, please.

So is politeness. Cheers, Jones.

It's supposed to be fun?

Not sure myself. A pat on the back and a pudding in the face?

Two it is.

That's ace of you, Megan, betting on Hufflepuff.

Teal would be in ruddy better shape if more of our sodding members acted like Susan and I.

Hufflepuff is a good House. We've got really great people, I think.

They don't seem to see the fun in this entire adventure, do they? I don't see why we can't branch out a bit.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_wayne_h/ 2005-12-03 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
We really do. Reckon I took them forgranted before now.

I've been asking myself that question for sodding weeks.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
You know Hopkins, just because Teal's out of the ruddy picture, doesn't mean that you can't catch a little action yourself.

Feeling lucky?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_wayne_h/ 2005-12-03 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
Dunno about that, mate. All the rest of the ruddy teams are close, yeah?

Reckon I'll have to follow Megan's example and bet on our House. We're a ruddy fine lot, there.

What's your favourite colour?

Hufflepuff it is. Two Galleons for you as well?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_wayne_h/ 2005-12-03 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yellow, of course. I've my bloody pride.

Sounds brill.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
I meant out of Mahogany, Purple, and Orange, Hopkins.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/lovegood_luna_/ 2005-12-03 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Fell into lock-step with a hypocritical imposition, you mean?

No, thank you, I'll pass.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_wayne_h/ 2005-12-03 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you ever stop to think that these games are just a way for us to have fun, and aren't filled with deeper, philosophical meaning, Lovegood?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/lovegood_luna_/ 2005-12-03 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Given that we were explicitly told their purpose was otherwise, no.
