IO to Hogwarts Students Only

Right.

The other day my brilliant girlfriend inspired an equally brilliant idea and I thought why the hell not give this a go. Be a right shame to pass something like this up.

I reckon there's a good bunch of you tired of all this colours team nonsense, yeah? Still trying to figure out a way to make the bloody weeks speed up so it's over? What we need is some old-fashioned competition, but not with points, detention, and all that other rubbish we could care less about. There needs to be something at stake. I'm proposing we set up a wager amongst the teams. With the exception of Teal -- all apologies you lot -- it's anyone's game and I've an inkling to make some orange juice.

As captain of the Purple Pooka Eaters, I'm expecting all my teammates to step up and take the challenge. What about the rest of you lot? Are any of you up to making these next few weeks interesting?

Oi, and if anyone's interested in a flutter on the Quidditch match tomorrow, let me know.

Editted: Listen up. Here's how the wagering will work - each team'll come up with parametres for the losing teams, to be agreed upon sometime within the next 24 hours.

That tartan hat, bun, permanent stern expresssion on her face? It's all a ruddy front. You better believe I think her saucy.

A minor technicality that'll soon be remedied.

saucy
adj. saucier, sauciest

Impertinent or disrespectful.
Impertinent in an entertaining way; impossible to repress or control.

Do you see those definitions? I think you're mental.

I rather doubt that.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
You forgot that it also means brazen, cheeky, sassy, smug, and my personal favourite, minx. Check your thesaurus, MacDougal.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't forget - I was simply going by the dictionary definitions.

I still think you're mental - and that you're avoiding the issue at hand.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
That's what they all say. No worries, I won't hold it over your head this time.

What's that then?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Who in the world are these 'all' then? You've nothing to hold over my head ever, so I don't know what you're on about.

This ruddy competition you're blathering about. Is there something more to it than just you making idle threats?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
My minions. That's why they all worship me, you know. I've crowned Douglas their head.

That's what you think.

Talk with Terry. He'll tell you, there's no idle threats where wagering's concerned.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! Minions?! You're having delusions of grandeur, I think. You leave Douglas out of this! He's too young for such things - and he certainly can't be crowned head of anything.

That's what I think about what?

I am discussing this with Terry. But there's still no mention of what needs to be done - or possibly not done.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
He's not too young.

That I've nothing to hold over your head.

The only things off-limits are Azkaban worthy. The rest is fair game as I see it.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
He most certainly is! Don't you lead him into... into... a life of wagering and debauchery, Michael!

Oh, very funny! You've nothing and you know it - you're all talk.

Hmm. That's a bit too open for my tastes. How can we possibly narrow things down so we can figure out something workable?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
But then he'll live a boring life, and I can't have that on my conscience now, can I?

That right, Mori? You confident in that?

You're working with Terry. He's got a bloody good enough handle on it all, being a veteran and all.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
You're incorrigible! You're supposed be providing a good example for him, not a negative one!

...what're you like, Mikey?

Yes, Terry and I'll be talking more on it tomorrow. I'm sure we'll get it sorted.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
No, I'm Michael. Are introductions needed again? Negativity's all in the perception.

Smooth as butter, MacDougal.

Can't wait to hear it, yeah. Bloody ace.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
I think you're slipping, actually - that wasn't even slightly amusing.

You like to think so, I'm sure. Speaking of which - when did you fancy Hermione?

I'm sure you can't.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, Hermione. Did you or did you not tell me that you only call girls by their first names if you dated them or fancied them? I know you didn't date her - so when did you fancy her?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2005-12-03 09:11 am (UTC)(link)
Must've left out the clause about best mates' girlfriends. You've dated either Tony or Terry and I not know about it?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2005-12-03 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
You've got an answer for everything, don't you? And I haven't dated either of them in this world, no.
