mc_mike: (I need a devil to help me get things)

And it goes.

Since it would seem I'm the only one around here with an enquiring mind, - Brown and Parvati, I'm disappointed verily, I am - s'pose that leaves me to ask the question that's begging to be asked.

MacDougal, what flavour arm candy are you? Your brother says licorice. I'm not ruddy sure I want to know how he knows.

Since I can, oi, Filly? Wanted to warn you, sir, that the dozen roses that your award-winning wife'll be binning once they're delivered? They're from Tony. Mine'll be the ones delivered later this evening. The one's she'll be gushing over and that'll convince her to chuck you for me.

Anyone else reckon they should give up looking for the cause of this past April's Fools? There's other areas which the Ministry should be utilising their resources, I think.

There's a card as well.

The usual. Tutouring the young MacDougal clan in Mikeology with the occasional lesson about dancing teacups and boil producing potions; catching up on my education in the entrepreneurial arena through some on-hands research and books that would make Padma yawn; and bathing the homeless in my spare time. Trying to make the world a better place, one clean tramp at a time.

What about you, sir? Missing us yet?

A card! I'm sure she'll be thrilled to hear from you, her favourite adopted son. I place emphasis on son. As fond as I am of you, you may not have my wife, Mr Corner. You are welcome to dinner, however.

I see your time is well spent. Do I hear the pleasant sound of coins brushing together as you loose your hand in a wager? If it were a decent thing to do, I'd almost arrange for a game or two with my young apprentice, should he find that a suitable evening spent.

I'm quite well. I have managed to procure for myself a new niece and great nephew, one of your very own fellow students. Had I known we were related the entire time, I think I'd have been more insistent that he drop the odd obsession with the spider man.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
And I'll place emphasis on adopted. Favourite, as well. S'pose dinner'll have to do in the meantime, cheers.

No, that'd be you hearing Tony and Terry handing over their sacks to me. Ace hearing, by the way. Would it be suitable for the young apprentice to take his mentor for his retirement pension?

Whistler? You're related to Whistler? Really? All apologies, if you are. How'd that happen?

[identity profile] charms-flitwick.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose I'll endure your cheek for the smiles you give my wife.

I've had plenty of practice.
I think it would be suitable for the mentor to win, yes. Is there somewhere in particular you frequent? I used to visit quite a few in my youth.

He's a fine young man, odd interests aside. But yes, he is my great nephew. My sister gave a child up for adoption; Kevin is her son.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
C'mon. You've cracked a smile once or thrice as well, I've seen you do it.

Right. That's what I meant. Nah, I'm not picky, though it depends on what you're wanting. A couple hands of poker or a try at blackjack? Anywhere there's a table and lager'll do although you might prefer somewhere private so as not to have an audience witness your schooling.

[identity profile] charms-flitwick.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
I won't argue the point.

Blackjack, poker, roulette, baccarat, craps, keno. I like it all, location notwithstanding. Do you know of a decent casino?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Cassiopeia's Casinotopia's always been nice to me.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
I've some free time tomorrow or Friday, whichever suits you best.

[identity profile] charms-flitwick.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Tomorrow, I think. You'll come over for dinner and then we'll take off for a casino. Yes?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be sure to bring my lucky rubber jobber puppet with me. Dinner's when?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Anytime, Whistler. Next time we should make plans and then I could say the same in person.

[identity profile] k-ev-in.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Why would we make plans?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
So I could tell you in person how ruddy sorry I am Flitwick's a relation in you. How often're you at Bayhall? I could make plans to tell you then.

[identity profile] k-ev-in.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not in the mood to mess about with your clever or charming comments, alright? There's more important things to do.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-04-11 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes a break's nice, that's all I'm ruddy saying. Sounds like you bloody need one too.

Are you all right? I mean - is something really wrong besides what's currently going on, or are you just trying to get rid of Michael and his annoying remarks?

Of course there's something really wrong. Pansy's acting like they're both going to prison, no matter what. There's something wrong with that! Don't you think?

That means I'm not in the mood to mess about with him. He can be a real asshole sometimes.

I knew they'd both been arrested, but I thought that it was simply a huge misunderstanding. Why in the world would Pansy think they were going to go to prison?! You don't suppose... no, of course not.

I can certainly understand that. I was actually rather upset by that blurb in the Prophet today, but I knew that if I let him see that, he'd just make it even worse.

They're under house arrest and it'll go to trial. What do you think?

Another blurb than what he's talking about? I mean, he did see the bit about arm candy, didn't he.

IO to Kevin ONLY

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2007-04-11 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you saying they ARE guilty, then?! Oh Merlin.

No, that's the blurb I meant. Oliver and I ended up having a talk about last night - well, about that and the photographers.

[identity profile] k-ev-in.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
They wouldn't keep them for nothing, would they? Don't be too quick to judge though. I think the evidence they have is dodgy anyway, and I doubt they're going to prison. Now if my cousin could shut her yob about it, we'd be in better shape.

How'd that go?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_morag/ 2007-04-11 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds awfully ominous, Kev. How are you feeling about it all? I agree, though - it does seem as though Pansy is saying too much in public.

He doesn't want to label our relationship. He thinks that if it's not broken, there's nothing to fix. I just don't understand why he's so afraid of words.

I'm not abandoning her, that's how I feel about it. Whatever happened, he deserved it. I wouldn't have done what they did, but Millicent is stronger than me anyway. Stronger than most.

She's an attention seeker. Look at me, poor me, look what I'm going through. Give me a break, already. As if she's the only one going through this, right?

Maybe he doesn't want to stop playing the field. Think of that?
