mc_mike: (I need a devil to help me get things)

And it goes.

Since it would seem I'm the only one around here with an enquiring mind, - Brown and Parvati, I'm disappointed verily, I am - s'pose that leaves me to ask the question that's begging to be asked.

MacDougal, what flavour arm candy are you? Your brother says licorice. I'm not ruddy sure I want to know how he knows.

Since I can, oi, Filly? Wanted to warn you, sir, that the dozen roses that your award-winning wife'll be binning once they're delivered? They're from Tony. Mine'll be the ones delivered later this evening. The one's she'll be gushing over and that'll convince her to chuck you for me.

Anyone else reckon they should give up looking for the cause of this past April's Fools? There's other areas which the Ministry should be utilising their resources, I think.

Hm. I suppose speaking against those who will rather shortly decide my fate would be a bad idea.

You didn't stop him though which means you're just as guilty. He had some excuse about my best interests at heart, but I don't know about that. I think he had a pint in mind.

S'alright. I know it's in spirit, anyroad.

Oi, that's not how it goes.

A pint for him was having your best interests at heart. He came home a mite less tense, yeah? Helped him think straight later on. Tell Tony he should be bringing you pints to drink from now on. Do you a bloody world of good.

Because of our Minister, my best friend - no, make that most of my friends went the way of the dodo. That was before you, of course, and I know you'll claim to makeup for them all, hm?

Yes, I know, he did and he could use another on a more regular basis, if you or Terry could be so good. I promise I won't leave if you go out again, but please, don't let him have my mother over. Last time she wanted to discuss where she'd gone wrong, but frankly, I don't want to help clear her guilty conscience, especially when I know she's only doing it because she thinks I'll soon be unable to care. Have you seen people who come out of Azkaban? No, I haven't either. Oh Merlin.

So, well, will you take him out again?

I've'n't a need to claim anything. The truth ruddy speaks for itself.

We had that every Sunday bit going on there for a while, but it tapered off once Terry started playing house and then - doesn't matter much now, yeah? No worries. I'll see to it that it gets started again and I'll treat Tony a time or five in between and I promise your mum won't get more than a couple hundred thousand feet of you.

It'll work out, Pansy. It bloody fucking has to.

Yes, I know you love me. I'll try not to flaunt it, but how can I not?

Thank you. Isn't it odd how things turn out? I've decided to concentrate on him, and it only seems fair since he's concentrating on me, but in actuality, he is my main concern. How did that happen? It's got annoyingly bad timing.

Distract me. Where are you? What are you doing with the casino? Do you think it's odd that Kevin Entwhistle is my cousin?

Don't think it's possible even if you wanted.

That your way of sayng you've gone all sentimental on us now?

I'm at Padma's. Spent the evening avoiding her feet and moving in unnatural ways but the music's a decent rhythm. She and I are heading to the States for a week of research in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, possibly Reno if we've time between all the hotels, the gambling, and the showgirls. I'll take loads of photos and bring you a souvenir shirt.
As for Whistler, s'pose it does seem a slight odd, yeah. Find it stranger though he's an uncle in Flitwick. Hold up - you're not related to Bulstrode, are you?

And why would I want it?

Unfortunately, yes, I think so. It's revolting and a little aggravating at times, if I'm honest. But when the outcome is so clear, it's hard not to be.

Tell her hello for me then, and I'm pleased her feet were avoided.
Souvenir shirt? I'll reserve judgment until I've seen it.

I probably am related Millicent in some way, but it's very distant, whatever the relation. It won't affect her relationship with Kevin, and I'd certainly hope it doesn't. He's been rather supportive, I do think. Shocking as it is!
