Terry's in.

Question's now is how much for.

That's good news, isn't it.

Millicent is supposed to contact Kevin about the marquee and other design type items. I don't know what kind of payment he'll want but she'd like a percentage of the profits.

Oi, it's better than good, it's brilliant. He's wanting to know how much for, but I reckon we won't have an idea until we find out how much your dad's going to cost us unless you've a guess off the top of your head.

She's on, is she? I've to say I was hoping she'd take the other option, but of the two, she made the smartest choice. Who'd've bloody guessed? She's recruiting Whistler for the marquee? You've told her we're not aiming for burlesque, yeah? Reckon we'd make a killing though if we did.

Better day then?

We'll find out Monday, I suppose. I know how much I have to offer him, but I'm going to start low, don't you think?

He's a decent artist and if we don't like it, we won't pay him.

No better than usual.

I reckon it's always an ace idea to start low when you're planning a business coup. Least it what's I'd do.

If he doesn't work out, I want to give Thomas a go. The bloke was my flatmate for a year and he's a decent artist. Besides, he might take offence if we skipped over him.

So you recommend shield charms and reinforced string to keep my head attached when I visit?

We'll start very low then and hope that I end up with some gold in my vault when it's all over.

Thomas does a very particular form of art. I doubt he'd be the style we're going for.

Are you planning to visit then?

Now you're taking all the ruddy fun out of destitution.

His style now might not be what we're looking for, but that doesn't mean he's incapable of dreaming up something that is. You remember all those Gryffindor banners he made for the Quidditch matches back at Hogwarts?

Why'd be coming back to Blighty if I wasn't?

[identity profile] ms-pansy.livejournal.com 2007-11-16 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Imagine I'm laughing because it's the closest to the real thing that you'll get, even in person.

I certainly don't want banners, and I'd rather give my cousin a chance first. He's not as bad as I had previously thought.

I don't assume that you come back for me. In fact, quite the opposite.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-11-17 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
You know I've no option but to accept the challenge now, yeah?

I wasn't meaning he'd make us banners, I was referencing the artwork on them. Never said we couldn't give Whistler a chance, anyroad. I'd just like to give Thomas one if Whistler's designs fall short.

Right. That's all it then and it's the raspberry crumble crunch at Fortescue's I come back for. You still want me to stay over now you know the truth?

[identity profile] ms-pansy.livejournal.com 2007-11-17 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
How do you know that wasn't my goal?

Yes, I know. Artwork on a Quidditch game banner isn't fit for our venue, but we'll have to see how well (or poorly, as the case may be) Kevin does.

You know you've a place here.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/mike_corner_/ 2007-11-17 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
How do you know it wasn't mine?

Alright. By the way, I told Terry we'd meet with him Monday once we're through playing your dad so we can go over the details and mayhaps share a celebratory drink together as well.

Same as you've here. Book me for Monday and Tuesday nights, yeah?
