How long it's been since we'd a chance to catch up?

Reason I'm asking is Terry and I've an appointment for a pint tomorrow evening and it'd be brill if you could unlock yourself from that room with that saucy dish of yours and join us. Figure I owe you at the least a round or two.

You know I don't like to intrude on the lives of my former students on these things. It's bad enough I even notice when it flares up here on my desk.

How is Australia treating you?

Where's all my letters telling me how miserable you are without me then?

Australia's brilliant. Can't wait to get back to it, actuallly, with a few exceptions notwithstanding.

I think I'm still waiting on an answer to my invite, Filly.

Serena's got a bad habit of letting the owl roam free and he's a fondness for letters with "Dearest Michael" on them. Odd one, that bird.

Oh? Tell me about the brilliance and tell me about what's keeping you from enjoying it. We can find a way to make Australia priority. You can't pass this up; it rarely comes along twice.

I'm still debating. It's a tough decision.

Smart one, more like. You could give me a preview of what I've been missing out on, if it'd make you feel better for the lack of correspondence and ease the guilt you're cert to be feeling for making me waste hours staring out my window waiting patiently for post that never comes.

Where do I start on the brilliance? Does it really need saying you were right about Annesley? The place is fantastic and the instructors are first rate. Then there's Adelaide, the people, the clubs, the opossums and can-canning koalas. What I'm missing are my mates and my family. Then there's this ickle casino venture I'm still involved with and need to see it get up off the ground. No worries on making Australia a priority though; I reckon it always will be because it's home now.

Don't take too long. A fragile heart like mine can only wait so long before time takes its over-sized foot and squashes it.

I leave the sappy writing to Serena. In my youth I was known to write a lovely letter to a beautiful girl, but you're lacking in feminine wiles, my friend.

I knew you would thrive there. Can I say how delighted I am that you went? Your father and I knew that if we could just get you there, you'd blossom. Into what is still up for debate!

Australia is home? Serena will be crushed. How will you get the business up if you're not to live here any longer?

I suppose my wife can do without me for an evening.

You can tell Serena she's more than welcome to write me when the urge strikes. I'm not one to turn down a letter from a gorgeous witch.

Oi, we're back to your youthful carefree days, are we?

You can say so all you want. In the end, you both were right. Still don't care for how it came about, but I'm not sorry for it.
I'm a Charmer, I reckoned everybody already knew that.

Next time I visit, I'll take her out to dinner so she doesn't feel left out. Think she'll go for that?
